Edifecs update on the CrowdStrike Outage

July 24, 2024

Edifecs, like other organizations across the world, was impacted by the CrowdStrike outage that began late Thursday, July 18th, 2024. Our IT teams promptly began working to respond to the issue with the guidance of the CrowdStrike support team and have restored service levels back to normal.

The CrowdStrike incident was the result of a defective content update for Windows in its Falcon Endpoint product. It was not caused by a cyberattack and we have no reason to believe there is any impact to data privacy and security.

Edifecs has received reports of phishing attempts by malicious actors falsely claiming to be from CrowdStrike and Microsoft. We strongly advise exercising caution: avoid clicking on unfamiliar links and refrain from sharing personal or sensitive information over the phone.

Rest assured that your data’s security and privacy remain our top priority, and we will continue to uphold the highest standards in safeguarding your information.

Thank you for being a valued customer, and we look forward to serving you with the utmost dedication and integrity.
