BELLEVUE, Wash. – May 16, 2022 – Edifecs, Inc., a global health information technology solutions company, is proud to announce that it is the recipient of the “Workplace of the Year” 2022 GeekWire Award. The award recognizes the organization that displays the attributes of an exceptional workplace environment, represented by an unmatched company culture, a dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion and employees whose happiness levels radiate no matter where they are located.

“We are honored to be recognized by the GeekWire community for Edifecs’ commitment to fostering an unparalleled workplace,” said Venkat Kavarthapu, CEO, Edifecs. “Edifecs is setting a new standard for associate wellness, including physical, emotional, financial, social and professional wellness, constantly challenging the status quo of what ‘work’ should look and feel like.  We’ve navigated a global pandemic by staying true to our values and prioritizing the health and wellbeing of our associates, partners, customers and our community.”

Late last year, Edifecs announced its new Highly Productive Edifecs (HPE) work model. The philosophy of HPE is simple: Edifecs associates can work from wherever they think they are the most productive (home, office, or in a hybrid model). HPE is designed to eliminate the stress of commutes, finding time to go to the doctor, and picking up kids from school. Over 90% of Edifecs associates reported feeling “great” about the new flexible work plans. As a strategic part of HPE, for its associates with access to one of Edifecs’ multiple office locations around the world, the company will continue to offer world-class facilities dedicated to environmental sustainability.

“Our culture is a huge priority here at Edifecs,” said Ravi Soin, vice president SaaS, IT & Operations. “We built our benefits program to make sure we are looking after every facet of our associates’ wellbeing. Here in the office, we offer massages, meditation, fitness classes, personal training, nutrition and cooking classes, tea service, and bikes and kayaks. With COVID-19 we were able to move many of these classes online so our associates could participate remotely and we’ve continued to do that as part of our HPE model. We are constantly evaluating new solutions to make collaborating even easier and finding creative ways to strengthen the Edifecs’ culture and further foster our community.”

Edifecs also maintains a deep commitment to elevating more women into leadership roles across the health IT industry, where women are significantly underrepresented. For example, most recently, Edifecs launched The Alliance for the Women of Edifecs (AWE), which is an initiative that brings both men and women together to tackle the barriers women face in their career growth.

“Edifecs and the more than 60 finalists at the 2022 GeekWire Awards represent the amazing innovative spirit in the Pacific Northwest, not only redefining industries through groundbreaking technologies, but transforming the way we work. The Workplace of the Year award recognizes companies with an unmatched company culture, a dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion and employees whose happiness levels radiate no matter where they are located. Congratulations to Edifecs on the big win at the GeekWire Awards,” said John Cook, GeekWire co-founder and publisher.

In the last 12 months, Edifecs was named a best place to work in Seattle Business Magazine’s Best Companies to Work For, ranking (No. 12; large companies), and Best in Biz North America’s Best in Biz awards (silver) as well as multiple other culture and corporate growth awards.
