Principal Solution Consultant


The Principal Solution Consultant is responsible to engage, understand and match the payer and provider prospect’s requirements on clinical initiatives with Edifecs strategy and solution. The individual is expected to leads pursuits establishing relationship and credibility with new prospects and existing customers in the space. Hence, the role requires deep and broad healthcare industry knowledge, a solid understanding of a wide range of solution and partner offerings, the ability to call on senior business, clinical and IT decision makers/ executives in major health organizations and a proven track record in succesfully supporting and driving complex sales in large enterprise.

The broad continuum of value-based care initiatives and Edifecs solution realms necessitates individual to have expert level knowledge of clinical and financial domains across work flows, data / exchange and aggregation, analytics, quality measures etc. 

What you will do:

  • Team with sales executives and lead the technical sales process through product demonstrations and customer interactions to win business.
  • Frequent interactions, presentation to establish credibility with different stakeholders of prospects on business and IT side to position Edifecs strategy
  • Translate new features and capabilities into appropriate sales messages working closely with product management and marketing team.
  • Liaison between sales, product management to create demonstrations that align with prospects requirement and future product deliverables
  • Positively influence prospects decision with value of Edifecs solutions throughout the sales cycle.
  • Provide clinical and financial domain knowledge in context of value-based care initiatives and associated functions.
  • Provide inputs and insights of market and client requirements trend to product management and other support teams.
  • Provide inputs to implementation team for accurate effort and technical estimations and insights into scrutiny useful during implementation.
  • Lead RFI/ RFP response process as solution expert.
  • Represent solution in events such as conferences, seminars etc

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Clinical/ Business field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of total work experience.
  • Pre-sales / Technical Sales experience in Payer Sales.
  • Deep understanding of business needs for payers and providers with respect to value based care.
  • In depth understanding of health information exchange, clinical data standards (HL7, CDA, IHE etc.
  • Knowledge of traditional and new healthcare insurance models such as ACOs, Managed care, Fee for Service etc.
  • Experience with payer and provider process associated with new payer-provider collaboration models such as CM/ UM/ DM/ Risk identification/ Authorization/ Eligibility/ Provider Contracting.
  • Substantial expertise in one or more technical domains (i.e. applications, network, database, or infrastructure) is preferred and subject matter expertise in multiple technology areas, such as SOA, cloud computing, security and identity management, data warehousing and analytics, data network architectures, storage technologies, and SaaS/ PaaS/ DaaS.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in presentation and documentation
  • Willingness to travel 75%, occasionally in short notice.
