Overview

Edifecs is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our growing team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Director of Revenue Accounting will lead the Company's revenue accounting, billing, and collections functions and ensure the appropriate revenue accounting and reporting processes, systems, and controls are in place. The Director of Revenue Accounting will work cross-departmentally to build-out and improve the revenue recognition and quote-to-cash processes.

What you will do:

  • Evaluate complex customer agreements and document the proper revenue accounting under ASC 606.  Advise company leadershipof the revenue recognition implications of new pricing strategies and negotiated customer contractual terms.
  • Ensure revenue is properly recorded in the financial statements including maintenance of SSP analyses and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Lead the integration of revenue accounting for acquired businesses.
  • Lead the Company’s billing, collections, and cash application functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the billing and revenue recognition processes and systems.
  • Oversee the Company’s sales compensation programs including the calculation of sales commission payments.
  • Manage the month end revenue close.
  • Assist FP&A with the revenue forecasting and revenue analytics.
  • Ensure Company systems are designed and maintained to support the quote-to-cash process, provide insightful revenue information, and support required financial statement disclosures.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required.
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience including at least 6 years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 accounting firm. 
  • Significant experience and expertise with software revenue recognition.
  • Thorough understanding of order management, billing, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact with senior level management.
  • Effective project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and the quote-to-cash cycle.  Knowledge of NetSuite, NetSuite OpenAir, and Salesforce preferred.
