Edifecs Joins Business Objects Technology Partner Program

Edifecs Data Quality and Compliance Adaptors Complement Business Intelligence Solutions

BELLEVUE, WA - December 8, 2008 - Edifecs, Inc., a provider of EDI data quality and compliance solutions, today announced that it has joined the Business Objects Technology Partner Program. The new partnership with Business Objects, an SAP company, is aimed at offering enhanced integration between solutions from Edifecs and Business Objects. Edifecs EDI Data Quality and Compliance adaptors have successfully demonstrated interoperability with the BusinessObjectsTM Data Integrator and BusinessObjects Data Services software, leveraging native EDI transaction data to provide real-time BI from the edge of the enterprise.

As part of the agreement, Edifecs and Business Objects will collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives. Together, Edifecs and Business Objects will expand the BI capabilities of any organization, whether in general industry or healthcare, in the following ways:

  • Processing virtually any EDI message from a library of pre-built templates
  • Customizing and publishing message templates for trading partners
  • Helping ensure operational integrity by validating each message against both standard and custom requirements before loading into the data repository
  • Providing automated feedback with EDI acknowledgements and human-readable HTML reports
  • Filtering and separating good from bad messages, or splitting based on any content for separate ETL processes
  • Loading all or selected message data, based on customer needs

"We are delighted to partner with Business Objects," said Sunny Singh, CEO of Edifecs. "Through this partnership, our mutual customers will have immediate access to actionable data from B2B messages, which is critical to both B2B operational improvement and overall business performance. We look forward to continuing to work with Business Objects to meet our customers' needs."

"Business Objects is very pleased to have Edifecs as a partner," said Michael Gray, global director, Technology Partner Program at Business Objects. "Real-time business intelligence has been one of the toughest problems to solve across many industries, and this unique approach, leveraging B2B transactions, is very exciting. Our joint clients will be able to access this information and 'tune' their enterprises based on real-time interactions with trading partners."
