Edifecs’ Catherine Schulten Chosen For March ‘Spirit of HIMSS’ Award
Bellevue, WA — April 23, 2007: Catherine Schulten, Director of Industry Relations for Edifecs’ Healthcare division, has been selected to receive the Spirit of HIMSS award in recognition of her volunteer work with the organization. Catherine has been active in several key activities including her recent testimony on behalf of HIMSS to the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics on Vendor NPI Readiness and authoring a “Guide to Vendor Assisted NPI Solutions”.
Established in 2003, the Spirit of HIMSS award recognizes members who exemplify the mission of HIMSS through their recent volunteer efforts within the society.
In addition to her work with HIMSS, Catherine also actively participates in standards development organizations including HL7, X12 as well as national industry associations such as WEDI and HITSP.
