Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Edifecs Expand and Extend Existing National Agreement

Bellevue, WA. October 11, 2005 -- Edifecs, the leading provider of B2B solutions for transaction-based interoperability, today announced it has reached agreement with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) to extend their National Contract as well as expand the partnership arrangement to include Edifecs' entire healthcare product suite. The benefits of the National Contract will be available to all participating Blue Plans across the country.

The products covered under the expanded agreement will now include Edifecs XEngine for transaction validation, splitting, routing and XML conversion, Edifecs SpecBuilder for desktop specification authoring, testing, publishing and companion guide production, test data generation and spec migration, and Edifecs CommerceDesk solutions, including Community Enablement for trading partner ramp and automated testing functions, Transaction Management, and Transaction-based Business Intelligence applications.
