Edifecs will exhibit at the 2005 MMIS Conference in continuing support of Medicaid programs and Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) principles.
Bellevue, WA. August 10, 2005 -- Edifecs, the proven provider of B2B solutions for transaction-based interoperability, will attend the 2005 Annual Medicaid Management Information System Conference in Big Sky, Montana. Edifecs client list includes more than 1600 customers, over 200 in healthcare, and more than 33 of the states and Medicaid agencies. The conference will focus on the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) and other timely Medicaid administration issues. Edifecs technology aligns with the MITA principles and the conference will provide an opportunity for Medicaid Program and Fiscal Agent staff to review the Edifecs suite of solutions to assist in aligning state systems with MITA.
Edifecs provides a full suite of MITA aligned HIPAA EDI solutions and technologies which have emerged as the solution of choice and the defacto standard for HIPAA implementation for Medicaid including:
- SpecBuilder for Companion Guide authoring and version migration, code set management and desktop transaction testing
- CommerceDesk for self-service trading partner testing and management, ramp and implementation
- XEngine for production data validation, transaction splitting and content based routing
- HIPAADesk for 3rd party testing & certification
At the conference, Edifecs will also introduce the newest additions to the solution suite, Transaction Management and Transaction Analytics. These new products provide the ability for transaction reporting, transaction trending, real-time self-service visibility and tracking on transaction activity, mining valuable information from daily EDI transactions flow and providing historical transaction analysis. Edifecs has also launched the healthcare data repository for storing transaction data for historical and reporting purposes. The powerful reporting, dashboard and analytics enable managers to have an unprecedented view into the transaction exchange activity with their trading partners, enabling them to make more informed and timely business decisions.
Edifecs has a long history of support to Medicaid Programs, including partnership through the Edifecs Association Partner Program (APP) with the National Medicaid EDI Healthcare (NMEH) workgroup. Through its hosted CommerceDesk portal at https://sites.edifecs.com/?nmeh, Edifecs provides the volunteer group with a shared workspace, improving collaboration and providing a state of the art communications portal free of charge. Edifecs Sr. Project Manager Andrea Danes also brings extensive Medicaid Program knowledge to Edifecs product development initiatives and continues to Chair the NMEH MITA Subworkgroup.
“We have experienced phenomenal success in the Medicaid environment using the Edifecs solution suite, “said, Dale Atkinson, POD CTO. “XEngine has improved our customers’ ability to validate inbound and outbound data and route the transactions appropriately to internal systems, greatly improving the flow of EDI and reducing the human intervention needed to process the data.”
"Medicaid programs serve the most vulnerable of our population," said Andrea Danes, Edifecs Sr. Project Manager and APP Coordinator. "We are committed to providing support for Medicaid agencies, their vendors, and NMEH. I am pleased that our suite of solutions aligns with the MITA principles of interoperability and reusability, resulting in a reduction of administrative costs which redirects funding to program benefits.”
