Edifecs Announces General Availability Of SpecBuilder for RosettaNet
Redmond, WA (November 19, 2001) --
Edifecs, a leading provider of software
for enabling B2B partner networks
and original developer of over 40
RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes
(PIP), announced today the general
availability of SpecBuilder with RosettaNet
support. RosettaNet is an independent,
non-profit consortium dedicated to
the collaborative development and
rapid deployment of open Internet-based
business standards that align processes
within the global high-technology
trading network.
Specialization and documentation
of standards to meet specific business
requirements is vital to the successful
execution of B2B initiatives. Until
now, tools to specialize RosettaNet
message specifications while guaranteeing
continued RosettaNet compliance did
not exist.
To help address this critical need
in the marketplace, Edifecs leveraged
its PIP development experience to
build guideline definition support
directly into the SpecBuilder guideline-authoring
suite. Now business analysts and implementation
specialists can browse a complete
library of RosettaNet message standards
on the
desktop and specialize and annotate
them to meet their unique business
requirements.
SpecBuilder is already the most widely
used authoring tool in the market
for specializing EDI and flat file
messages and has been the tool of
choice for thousands of corporations,
consultants, and integrators worldwide,
and over 30
industry associations, standards bodies,
and consortia. Now the same easy-to-navigate
user interface and intuitive toolset
is available to the RosettaNet community.
"This release culminates Edifecs
work with RosettaNet documenting the
RosettaNet PIPs," said Sunny
Singh, chairman and CEO of Edifecs.
"Edifecs has shown its commitment
to helping enterprises capture the
value
of implementing RosettaNet standards
while maintaining the proprietary
business practices that have provided
them a competitive advantage in the
market."
