Edifecs and Contivo Partner To Speed B2B Integration
Contivo to use Edifecs popular and
widely used SpecBuilder Specification
Authoring Suite
Bellevue, WA and Mountain View, CA (June 06, 2001) --
Edifecs, a B2B solutions provider
who delivers products and services
that help businesses rapidly ramp-up
and manage their trading partner networks,
and Contivo, the leading provider
of auto-mapping solutions for B2B
trading partner networks and eCommerce,
today announced that Contivo has licensed
Edifecs SpecBuilder™. The partnership
comes as another effort by both companies
toward enhancing their solutions to
help dramatically speed up the process
of ramping-up and integrating B2B
trading partners.
Contivo will use Edifecs SpecBuilder
internally to develop EDI-based interfaces.
The use of SpecBuilder provides Contivo
with a source reference for EDI standards,
including all versions of both X12
and UN/EDIFACT published to date.
Under the partnership, Contivo will
also resell SpecBuilder to select
Contivo eService customers to support
non-standard complex EDI structures.
We turned to Edifecs SpecBuilder
due to its strong reputation in the
market as a mature and robust solution
for developing and managing EDI guidelines,
said Paul Koenig, vice president of
business development for Contivo.
SpecBuilder will help us rapidly
deliver EDI-based interfaces to our
customers.
We are excited that Contivo
has selected SpecBuilder, said
Greg Gilles, vice of president of
product management for Edifecs. Aligning
with Contivo is a natural fit for
Edifecs thanks to our highly complementary
focuses on speeding up the process
of getting B2B trading networks online
faster.
