Edifecs Commerce Partners with EDI Specialists to Accelerate Growth of Trading Networks

EDI Specialists to implement Edifecs CommerceDesk enablement solution

BELLEVUE, WA (August 17, 2000) -- Edifecs Commerce, Inc., an established provider of enablement software for B2B e-commerce, announced today that it is partnering with Boston-based EDI Specialists, a leading consulting group for e-commerce solutions, to distribute Edifecs CommerceDesk products and services. With this agreement EDI Specialists becomes part of the Edifecs partner network as a channel partner.

Edifecs CommerceDesk automates and streamlines the complex process of ramping up B2B e-commerce networks, which may include thousands of disparate partners. CommerceDesk provides a comprehensive suite of applications, tools, online standards and services that reduce cost and time-to-market for companies developing proprietary networks or participating in external trading exchanges.

"We are pleased to partner with an established and experienced e-commerce solutions provider like EDI Specialists," said Sunny Singh, CEO of Edifecs Commerce. "By combining the Edifecs CommerceDesk enablement solution with EDI Specialists' expertise in building B2B e-commerce networks, our shared clients will gain a critical time advantage in launching their trading solutions."

"When designing and building complete e-commerce solutions for complex trading partner networks, the key obstacles we often face are extensive time-to-market and considerable cost for bringing trading partners online," said Joseph Gilbody, President of EDI Specialists. "With Edifecs CommerceDesk, we expect to provide our customers with dramatic improvements in both areas."
